Monika, we’re happy to have you on the cover Playboy! Can you give us a bit of a background on your career as a model and where it all started? My career as a model started many years ago. I got published in Norwegian lifestyle magazines and expended worldwide. Today I can say that I have featured number of covers and lifestyle magazines, including multiple times in Playboy and FHM. However, this is a first time I grace Playboy cover.

Having a full schedule must make it difficult for you to get much alone time, talk to us about the top 3 must-dos to ensure you fit in some well-deserved down time? I have regular training and hiking sessions weekly which I do not skip, as they ensure that I stay energized, fit and motivated.   I switch off social media as often as I manage to enjoy a taste of real life. I sleep enough.

What does it mean for you to be seen as a strong, intelligent, ambitious woman? It means a lot to me as I am a woman of substance and I work hard for all my achievements. This is exactly how I wish to be seen. I am a dynamic, ambitious and competitive individual who strive to create a beautiful life so deal with it.

What are some of the biggest misconceptions people have about what you do? People sometimes perceive that beauty and intelligence do not go together. I have higher education from diverse universities and within various fields. I also have professional career, and I am a fulltime mother. I love having challenges in life and I am not satisfied with less than the best. Although having many facets can be challenging, I am not discouraged as I pursuit happiness and a life good to live both for me and my little daughter. I am so deeply involved in my life schedule and goals that I do not really get bothered by others. Imagine somebody is hiking a high mountain. Do you expect this person to look around and evaluate what others might think about what he is doing?

What does freedom of self-expression mean to you? That I can choose. I love being professional but I also love being creative. Being a model is only one among my leisure activities. It boosts me up and make me feel like my life is exciting. I have tried to down prioritize it but it turned out that I wasn’t happy without my model adventures. So couple of times per year I like to shine as a model.

We absolutely love your Instagram, your content is very dynamic, inspirational, and downright sexy, could you perhaps tell us what your personal experience as an influencer has been like? Thank you. My Instagram is there in order to reflect my model achievements and communicate with professionals within model industry. However, I do not spend that much time on social media as I am a very busy women in everyday life.

3 things that you can’t go a day without. Coffee. Mobile. Smile.

What about those crazy DMs you must receive! Care to share a few funny stories regarding those? I am involved in what is happening in my real life with regard to romantic events. I appreciate some healthy attention and compliments on my achievements but I rather use social media as a professional tool to communicate with magazines and photographers so I must disappoint you here, but I am professional and pay attention to professional inquires.

Now we’re sure you experience a lot of male attention on and offline, any advice you would like to give to men out there who are hoping to catch your eye the right way? This male must stand for something valuable in life and be at least as good as me or even better as I like dynamic and ambitious males. At the same time he must be honest with me and communicate his feelings in clear way as I value developed and deep emotional connections when it comes to love and relationships.

What is the absolute worst thing a man can do to completely put you off? Make me feel like I am not that special to him or playing games with me.

That said, what advice would you have to give to all women out there when it comes to love and relationships. My advice will be to ask yourself what you want to achieve in your romantic life and look after a partner who will match. Do a proper assessment of yourself as well. Learn who you are, how to enjoy yourself, your work, hobbies, home and when you feel ready let it happen naturally. A happy married life could be a descent goal to have as it requires more developed approach to each other. And better to build solid and joyful life together with someone than to let yourself to be drawn in short -term dysfunctional relationships. Good to be independent, but important to admit that one needs to love and be loved. I am scared when I listen to people saying that they are so happy being singles until those significant moments you need someone to hold you and instead you compensate with cupcakes.

Thank you so much for sitting down with us and letting us get to know you! Any last words for our readers out there? Thank you and stay tuned.
