Hana, could you tell our readers a bit about yourself? Hi! I’m Hana Young, I was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska and my background nationality is Korean. I live in Tampa, Florida and used to play golf professionally. I have been modeling for a little over ten years and I also have my own business. I own and operate recovery residences (sober living homes) for adults who are recovering from alcoholism and substance use disorders.
Were you excited to shoot for Playboy? Oh my gosh, I was super excited and felt honored to be shooting for Playboy and being able to be featured in their publication!
Tell us something surprising about you? I really enjoy reading articles or any studies about psychology, it fascinates me.
Describe yourself in one sentence: If I had to describe myself in one sentence, I would have to say I’m multifaceted in regards to my personality, but I would say I am down-to-earth and sincere.
What are some of your hobbies? In my leisure time, I love to shoot billiards, shooting rifles, skating, dancing, going to the movies, enjoying art, whether paintings or performing arts and just having a fun games night with friends.
What is your biggest turn on? My biggest turn on is when a man can be honest and vulnerable and show me that he cares by his actions and paying attention to the details of what makes me happy.
What turns you off the most? My biggest turn off is when someone is self-absorbed and flashy. I think that shows insecurity and a lack of self-awareness.
Describe to us your perfect date: My perfect date would be going to a museum and sharing stories, and perhaps a fun trip to the arcade to see how competitive we can get followed by a fusion cuisine fun dinner then a long walk throughout the town and having a deep and lengthy discussion (I won’t say beach).
What would you consider to be your biggest challenge as a model so far? I’ve been fortunate to have a long career in the modeling industry. I would have to say an unpredictable schedule is the biggest challenge of being a model. When you book shoots and shows, it’s difficult because some are last minute. I’ve had to cancel on personal events and miss out on some moments in my private life due to bookings. But in this industry, you never know when your next booking can be, so you have to take as many opportunities as you can.
Any last words you would like to share with our readers? I truly hope all the readers enjoy my feature! I’ll share one of my mantras with you all: Have no regrets and don’t be afraid to go after what you want. Failure is necessary to achieve your goals and fear is created in our minds, so stay positive and be patient and keep moving forward!
